My journey towards a career in medicine has mostly been an evolution of healing the self, an exploration in ways to help others heal holistically and a search to serve.

Growing up I was a student athlete all of my life. I was involved in multiple sports and knew early on I had an interest in the body and health. As a teenager, I experienced my own depression, irritable bowel syndrome and imbalance hormones which ultimately led me down a path of transformational inner healing during college.

I attended the University of California Santa Barbara on a Track and Field Scholarship. Throughout my years in division one college athletics, I came to know what it meant to strive for optimum health through proper nutrition, supplementation, hydration and lifestyle choices. I was the big west champion and finished 22nd in the country in the 400 hurdles in 2013. I found joy working on my performance, health and mental alignment. I knew I wanted to continue down this path and share it with others.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Bio-Psychology and Brain States and focused on psychopharmacology and behavioral medicine. I came to learn of the power of the mind, the subconscious and neuroplasticity. I went on to continue learning about the mind through Tibetant Buddhism and other traditional philosophies from around the world through a minor in Religious and Indigenous studies.

With my major in Biopsychology and my interests in eastern philosophies, I started understanding the importance of considering the mind and the body as one and how this realization can bring about mental, emotional, and physical changes within. From there I had a growing interest in holistic health, healing through trauma and the implications of spirituality and psychology when it comes to health.

Learning about traditional medicine dramatically changed my impressions of what health and healing meant to me. It was from there on out that I realized my path was in natural medicines and holistic modalities. Which leads me to now.

I am a graduate from Bastyr University California and also pursuing a dual degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego.

There is a common thread of wholism theories throughout various healing traditions around the world. It is my goal and desire to study therapies from around the world and incorporate them into my practice. It is my knowledge that vibrant health occurs when all factors of life (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) are in harmony. It is my passion and mission to help others achieve optimal health and wellbeing in a holistic and transformational way.
